I have tried other bakuchiol products but this one is nice and thick and makes my skin feel and look better. It works !
Excellent Products
I cannot say that this product is bad, but I do not see or feel the plumping that is among the claims. Perhaps it is my skin? I like this brand very much. The golden yellow is very good and the pink is very good. As far as this sticky cream, it is amazing on the neck. This, I don’t know it just does not seem to do anything for me.
I use this on a daily basis in addition to a serum and moisturizer. It leaves my skin looking and feeling great. There’s a nice dewy natural glow to my skin afterwards that isn’t sticky or oily so overall very balanced. I have combination skin - very dry in the winter and oily in the summer, prone to breakouts. I haven’t had any breakouts using this product. It was gentle enough to incorporate immediately into my skincare routine.
Definitely recommend it, especially if you want to plump your lips and clean off any extra dirt on your skin
Best product ever and very gentle on skin, Does the job.
I’ve been using the EQQUALBERRY Bakuchiol Plumping Capsule Toner and really like how it fits into my routine. The formula feels lightweight and hydrating, and it absorbs quickly without any sticky residue. I appreciate that it uses bakuchiol as a natural retinol alternative, which is gentler on sensitive skin but still helps with anti-aging and plumping, and the hyaluronic acid gives a nice boost of moisture that leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. It’s soothing and has helped my complexion look more balanced and hydrated over time. Overall, this toner feels like a great way to prep and nourish the skin, especially if you’re looking for a gentler yet effective option for daily use! 💧
This Bakuchiol Plumping Capsule Toner from Eqqualberry has a runny gel texture with a surprising amount of body and slip for a toner. It spreads very easily and feels really elegant on the skin. It’s non-sticky, but it does take a minute or two to fully absorb. Once it does, my skin feels hydrated, moisturized, and very comfortable. There is a noticeable herbal citrus scent, and this does include fragrance ingredients like bergamot oil, limonene, and linalool. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, that’s something to be aware of. I can be reactive to fragranced products, but thankfully this one did not sting or irritate my skin at all. Still, I do wish it were fragrance free, because I think that will limit who can enjoy what is otherwise a fantastic formula. This toner has a pH of around 5 according to my pH test strips. Ingredient-wise, this is really well put together. It has humectants like glycerin and panthenol for hydration, emollients like squalane and shea butter for moisture, and a strong antioxidant lineup including bakuchiol, three forms of centella asiatica, and grapefruit extract. It also includes the skin barrier holy trinity: ceramides (five different types), cholesterol, and fatty acids, which is something I’m always on the lookout for.I have mature combination skin that leans dehydrated, with concerns around texture and uneven tone. I’ve been using this in my nighttime routine for about seven weeks now, and I genuinely feel like my skin looks brighter, healthier, more even, and smoother. My skin feels plump and glowy after application, but never greasy or sticky. If this were fragrance free, it would honestly be close to perfect for me. That said, if you aren’t sensitive to the fragrant ingredients, I would absolutely recommend this. The texture, ingredient list, and results have all been excellent, and my skin has been very happy using it.
Good
I love it !!! Really good product, first week using it the face look much better.
I wanted to try this because my skin is sensitive and kind of dramatic when it comes to traditional retinoids. Ads for Eqqualberry all stress it's supposed to be extra gentle because it uses bakuchiol instead. Overall, I'd say it did help me with overall skin texture, moisture, and plumpness. I did have some minor acne after the first few uses, but as with any retinoid type active, this "purge" should be expected. While I did get some acne, it was not as crazy as when I used a retinol product, so that was refreshing to see. This stuff has a hefty ingredient list. Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and a whole boatload of various plant extracts. You'll really notice those plant extracts just from the fairly strong floral scent. I think all of the thicker moisturizing agents betray that this is marketed and labeled as a toner. It's surprisingly viscous and sticky, way closer to a serum. The extra viscosity is nice for application since you can make sure you get it where you want it and it absorbs fairly quickly. The ads always show people dripping this stuff all over. I would not recommend that. Use a small amount and spread sparingly. At $22, it can be considered on the pricier side for a toner, but if you consider it a serum or a combo product, it's pretty economical. The expiration date is 3 years out from the date of my order, so it seems to have a good shelf life (when sealed). If you've never used a retinoid before, this is a decent intro. Spot test first. Acne will come at first, but it gets better with longer use and consistency. Retinoid type actives, even bakuchiol, take some getting used to before your skin can really see the benefits.
I have mature, sensitive skin and am starting to see a few fine lines, so I am extra careful about my skincare routine, I have been using this toner about a month and am loving it so far.All of my previous toners have been liquids and I have often found toners to be drying to my skin. However, this toner is a thick gel consistency and I have found that it helps my skin to retain moisture. Usually, I struggle with dry skin in the winter, but the addition of this toner to my skin care routine seems to have helped a lot.I am using this toner as the second step in my nighttime skin care routine, after removing my makeup and cleansing. I usually put in on a cotton round to apply, but I have applied it straight from my hand when I didn't have cotton available. It does not leave any sticky residue on my skin. I follow up with my usual moisturizer and have had good results. This toner but have a light lavender scent, but it is pleasant and not at all overwhelming. It does have a fresh sensation- but tingly, just a refreshed feeling. This is also a large bottle of toner and I don't need to use much each day. This bottle will likely last 5 or 6 months for me, so it is an excellent value.
I have been using this bakuchiol plumping capsule toner as part of my daily skincare routine, and it has been very gentle on my skin. The texture feels light and refreshing, and it absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky residue. My skin feels hydrated right away, and the hyaluronic acid gives a nice plumping effect, especially after cleansing.Since my skin is on the sensitive side, I like that this toner works as a natural retinol alternative without causing irritation. It feels soothing and calming, and I have not experienced redness or dryness. With regular use, my skin looks smoother and more balanced, and it feels comfortable throughout the day. It fits well into my routine and feels like a nice option for anti-aging care without being harsh.
This toner is easy to use and feels light on the skin. After using it for a few days, my skin felt smoother, softer, and looked slightly more radiant. It absorbs quickly without any sticky residue and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. A nice addition to a daily skincare routine for hydration and a subtle plumping effect.
This toner has a thicker, gel-like consistency rather than the liquidy texture you'd expect from a toner. It has little beads in it that dissolve as you rub it in. I squirt a bit into my hand and rub it all over my face as part of my prep routine. A little goes a long way with this.I love how hydrating it is. It really makes my skin feel plump, especially as we get into these drier winter months. It has a pleasant but very light smell that isn't overpowering. I've noticed that I don't have as much dry skin as I usually do in the winter since using this. When I wear this under makeup, it helps my skin look more youthful and preps it really well. I use a gel moisturizer on top of this and it doesn't feel sticky at all. I have an oily t-zone and I've noticed when I wear this, it doesn't make me look extra oily or like I've been sweating. It just adds hydration where my skin needs it without overdoing it.
Not the consistency I expected for a toner. This is a bit more gel-like but still applies easily and absorbs quickly. The capsules are not rough at all (no physical exfoliation). Does seem to clean face well. I applied using a cotton round after already washing my face and it still removed dirt/oil/dead skin.
I was a little skeptical of how a plumping toner would work, but it plumps the skin enough to minimize pores and just give your skin a more bouncy, youthful look. It does not plum your face or anything like that. I have had no issues with using this as far as irritation, dryness, or itch. It gives my skin a nice nourished feel and it cleans out pores while acting more like a serum than other toners. I really like the thickness of this toner product and have used and loved another toner by this brand as well. It is definitely worth checking out!
This toner feels like a serum in texture. It leaves my skin soft and hydrated. There’s a tacky feeling after applying but it goes away relatively fast. It works well under makeup without pilling. My skin is moisturized and smooth. There is a pleasant light scent that I don’t mind. I don’t see an effect on wrinkles. My skin has a nice glow to it. For the price it is a good value.
This review is for EQQUALBERRY Bakuchiol Plumping Capsule Toner - Natural Retinol Alternative Face Toner with Hyaluronic Acid - Anti-Aging, Soothing, Hydrating Korean Skincare for Sensitive Skin (150ml / 5.1 fl oz), which is made in Korea. This is another great product and experience with the brand for me. The toner has a very light astringent scent and the capsules melt quickly into the skin. I love that the toner is a slightly thicker liquid but not quite a gel and the bottle allows you to dispense a small amount so you don’t get a mess. It leaves a light sheen on the skin and dries non-sticky. It provides light moisturization and is a great base for the next layer of moisturization. At a price of $21.99 for 5.1 oz, I think this is a good value for the money as a little bit goes a long way.I did not experience any irritation when using the product and you can see the ingredient list in the final image.
I've been very eager to try a product containing Bakuchiol. I don't like referring to this as a "toner" - the texture just doesn't align with that. Instead, for my routine, I'd consider this a "serum" as it's thicker and stickier. Because of that consistency, it's been relegated to my nighttime skincare routine (it is incompatible with my morning routine because I've found that it interferes with my makeup application), and I do not plan to use it daily as it doesn't play nice with some of my other products either. For me, I think the sweet spot may be once a week after a thorough face wash with gentle manual exfoliation, a layer of actual toner (I like witch hazel), followed by this alone, with nothing over top (and use a light hand). The scent is light, inoffensive, and doesn't linger too long after application.
I was a little surprised by the texture of this toner. It was thicker than I expected and felt more like a serum which isn't a bad thing but just wasn't what I was expecting. Since it's on the thicker side it is a bit hard to shake out of the bottle. When I apply it to my skin it feels cooling and refreshing. It has a very subtle lavender scent. The little capsules melt as soon as I rubbed it into my skin. It does take some time for the toner to absorb completely so feels a bit sticky on the skin until it fully absorbs. My skin did feel more hydrated and looked plumper after using.
Been using this in mornings before any other applications. Very good early morning for hydration that lasts for almost the whole day, and then another application at night before going to bed for my night routine.Doesn't come with a spray attachment like some toners do, but I had a spare pump from an empty bottle of something else that just happened to fit in this. Some people also like to do a mix of water and toner as a setting, so if you have a spare empty bottle you could empty half of this into there and fill it halfway with water to use that way.Current trends also have people adding a few drops of this to foundation, which I have tried and it seems ok, but it depends heavily on the thickness of the toner. This one might by a bit thick for doing that. Overall very pleased with this.
i appreciate the gentleness of this toner. it's gentle on the skin and aims to exfoliate while providing the skin with ample hydration. after using this toner consistently for about one week, i have noticed that my skin appears tighter and firmer overall. the ingredients are very gentle + this is a great alternative to retinol. very very happy with this product :)
I’ve been hearing such great things about the brand so it’s been a pleasure trying this toner. I use it on damp skin after cleansing, and I like that it has a thicker viscosity than other toners. I have dry, maturing skin, so anything that gives my hydration is welcome. The little capsules are so fun to rub into my skin. I feel like this toner has been giving me good hydration and I do get a bit of a sensation when I use it so I know it’s doing something. I haven’t had any adverse reactions to this toner, and my skin does seem to be more glowy. This toner is a little tacky, but I don’t mind it. I layer a moisturizer over top anyways, so thetackiness isn’t really an issue for me. I have not tried this under makeup yet and I wonder if the tackiness will be good for gripping make up. I will have to update this review after I try it. This is a big bottle and a little goes a long way. The price is already good so the fact that this product will last a long time is an excellent value. I like the lavender scent. This toner makes me excited to try other products from this brand.
This is a toner is different from my usual toners. It is a bit thicker, almost like a serum. It contains small capsules of Bakuchiol (a milder, plant based Retinol alternative). The beads melt on the skin instantaneously. The toner also contains Madecassoside (from Centella Asiatica) when combined with Hyaluronic Acid provides serious hydration and calms the skin. It has a very light scent that dissipates quickly. I did not experience any irritation. I find that the toner is a bit thick so if I am using multiple toners, this one goes on last in the sequence as it is the thickest. I understand Bakuchiol is considered an active so I use it in the morning as I use retinal/retinol in the morning and glycolic acids in the evening. I think it's a very good toner, perfect for when a milder Retinol effect is what my skin needs.[Note: Country of Manufacture, Full Ingredients List, Identifying Lot Number and Product Expiration Date printed on the box.]
This is a milder, natural and less harsh version of retinol, and my face feels tighter after using this for just a few days. It has a mild pleasant scent. It rinses off clean and doesn't seem to dry the skin. I haven't experienced the redness or facial peeling common with retinol. Maybe I'm dreaming it, but my face does feel a bit firmer. I'm not expecting a miracle age-reversal agent, but it subjectively looks better.
